Rough Yukari Sketch

2008, October 26

I’ve been rather busy lately and haven’t gotten a chance to do what I exactly wanted to do (search out new communities) let alone update this “blog.” Incidentally, I’ve been getting private messages from some friends of mine saying that it’s probably a bad idea for me to quit the community and Another Dream. Whether or not it is, all I can really say is that there’s no point in me helping them out when I’m losing interest in it. Although my interest in Touhou isn’t completely gone, it’s waning rather quickly. It’s ironic since two new games for it just came out (SWR and SA) but neither of them managed to capture and keep my attention for too long. I’ve also begun to take notice that some of my favorite artists (like Paranoia Cat) are also moving away from Touhou. It’s probably not limited to just him either.

On another note, I can’t believe Halloween is almost already here and I haven’t done any artwork for my favorite holiday! Shame on me.

Finding Something New is Pretty Hard

2008, October 6

That sketch was made last night while I was mindlessly doodling on paper and on tablet. But other than that, searching out a new community wasn’t as easy to do as I thought and probably something that isn’t best done actively. Touhou just sort of lured me in (about three-four years ago) and as such, I stuck with it. Though, I did find myself visiting the RPG Maker community quite a bit. Might be a good place for me to hang around and learn up a bit more on Ruby and RPG Making in general.

Retirement from Another Dream

2008, October 1

Sometimes I wished I had larger paper. Well, that aside, I’ve officially retired from Another Dream’s staff yesterday and appointed newer leaders. Although a couple of them haven’t been in Another Dream before, I trust that they would do fine there. I’m also pretty excited to see what these guys can cook up without me being there (although I probably won’t be around for long). That said, I’m probably going to retire from the Touhou community a bit, too (although I’ve honestly never been “in” it so to speak). Seeing and doing the same things every day gets a bit tiring, which is the main reason I wish to seek out other things to do and like. Where to go next? Kyon-ko looks like a possibility~
