Terms of Use

These are various terms of usage should you decide to use any of the Yanfly Engine ReDux scripts.

  • If you find any errors in my scripts or on the website, please contact me.
    You can contact me by either e-mail or by writing a comment on this website somewhere. I do check the website more frequently than my e-mail though.
  • If there are incompatibility issues with outside scripts, I’ll try to do my best to correct them.
    However, if the script is completely incompatible, does not allow room for compatibility, or simply not worth creating compatibility with, I will have to decline the compatibility request.
  • You may edit the script’s contents and methods as you see fit.
    However, if you do and it causes damage to your game or even computer, I will not take responsibility for actions not caused by me. Remember to back up everything for your games and projects! Just don’t say, “I wrote this script” when all you did was something minor.
  • When crediting my scripts or me, just provide credits as you see fit. You don’t even need to credit me at all.
    There’s no specific format or whatnot when providing credit to me. This is not a copyrighted series of scripts. All you have to do is make it simple like “Yanfly made this” or “Thanks to Yanfly Engine ReDux” or “Wong rocks.” Or if you’d like, just leave my name out of the credits period.
  • Sorry, I don’t accept scripting requests.
    This is because there’s way too many unrealistic things people want in their games that would also add zero compatibility for other projects. My scripts are made and designed for general usage and not personal usage.
  • You may use these scripts in commercial products if you think they’re done well enough.
    However, resource packs and materials that I’ve provided such as windowskins and backdrops cannot be included in commercial products. The main reason being that I don’t actually own the copyrights to those materials that I’ve provided. Other companies possess the original resources and may not approve of you using them for commercial profits.
  • You may share these scripts with other communities.
    Just make sure that if you do, either link back to the scripts’ pages or update them frequently since I make a lot of updates, haha.

    First of all, i like to say that your work is great! and i like the way you make fun of your scripts when you explain them…
    Anyway, i want to point out some INCOMPATIBILITIES:
    [i'm not a scripter, so it is possible that i'll be wrong... sorry for that]

    +Display Skill Query: with “Sideview Battle System Configurations” and “Active Time Battle Configurations” by Enu, the battle query does not works;

    +Diplay Item Query: as above, it does not work in battle.
    Also the shop feature does not pop up if you are using the “KGC_LargeParty”, but i resolved this last problem removing from “KGC_LargeParty” lines from 921 to 937;

    +Bestiary + Display Scanned Enemy: as above, it does not work with “Sideview Battle System Configurations” and “Active Time Battle Configurations” by Enu.

    To be honest, they are not completely incompatible, the just don’t work…
